I love the physical analogies God has given that help us understand spiritual truth. What you have said is so beautifully illustrated when we consider the ability of individuals to "reproduce" once maturity is reached. When a child is conceived, it cannot grow and mature on its own. First it grows in the womb, then many years of investment are needed until the child is able to thrive on its own. Birth and growth both must take place to sustain an individual until they can reach their own reproductive maturity. There is no either/or.

If someone is unable to reproduce physically, this is unnatural and in most cases is perceived as a tragedy. How much more tragic in the spiritual/eternal realm, when individuals never reach a maturity which includes seeing souls born into the Kingdom of God or never become involved in opportunities to invest in the day-to-day maturing of believers. How incredible the privilege our Heavenly Father has given us to be involved in both.

Great video, Nathan. I think you're right on--disciple-making disciples is biblical. There is no distinction between evangelism and discipleship.
