My name is Nathan Creitz and I live in Swampscott, MA (20 minutes North of Boston). I’ve been married since July 2007 to my wife Kim and we just had our first daughter in November 2009. My wife and I are starting a church in our neighborhood and if you are interested in supporting us with prayer or resources, you can find more info here.
You can find a collection of definitions for ethos here, but basically it has to do with the habits and customs of a person or a group. I’ve written more about why I chose the name ChurchETHOS here.
This blog is written from the perspective of one who is on a journey. I haven’t figured everything out so I’m sure I’ll make mistakes. I also realize that the written word is harder to convey tone and emotion so I often get my words misconstrued. With that in mind, I ask that you share your thoughts but do so as if we are having a conversation as friends over a cup of tea. I reserve the right to delete comments that are offensive. I really want this to be a safe place for people to think out loud about our purpose in making disciples and I hope you will join the conversation.
Thanks for landing on my little piece of online real estate. Let’s consider how to stimulate one another to love and good works!

Hey Joshua,
Great to hear from you. Since we last talked I've gotten married, moved north of Boston and I'm finishing up seminary at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. I finish up in December…hope things are going well.
Found your post through ProBlogger. Love the blog, and many blessings on your ministry efforts!
Came here through ProBlooger too! Like you emphasis on discipleship first, then church planting. Dallas Willard calls it The Great Omission referring to the lack of discipleship in churches. If you're interested I wrote a list post for the 31DBBB as well http://www.irreligiouscanuck.com/?p=720
Hi Nathan,
Thanks, so much on the article Legalization of prostitution. I'm Criminal Justice major here in Greensboro, NC. We had to write an essay based on controversial topic that has legal and moral elements. I choose the topic prostitution, after researching various site I became frustrated. Then bang I came across your website, I totally agree with you that we as Christian are to help lift up our brothers and sisters when they are down. We suppose guide them in good spirit. In Springfield, IL their a program name PORA(Postive Options Referrals and Alternatives) who asst women trying to leave prostitution. Keep teaching his WORDS and spreading the truth.
