Well, I have to say I rather enjoyed reading the TNIV, despite the controversy surrounding it. (I currently have a thinline copy sitting right next to my ESV.) Hey. Count me in. Favorite verse(s): Philippians 4:13 and Psalm 46:10.
My favorite verse (thus far) is Philippians 1:6. What a great reminder that God already KNOWS that I'm messed up and not quite where I need to be yet… and STILL loves me and is willing to keep working with me (and in me)! ALSO a great reminder that HE is the one who will finish what He's got in mind for me… I of course have to do my part, but it's not dependant on my efforts alone. HALLELUJAH!!!!
